Amarillo Little Theatre presents in our
86th Anniversary Season:

A Behanding in Spokane
by Martin McDonagh

"Insane, yet fiendishly funny.  Here, the violence is comical, and we are kept guessing throughout a farce that is as irresistible as it is improbable."

Rated: R for strong language

What our patrons are saying about "A Behanding in Spokane"

ALT's A Behanding In Spokane was very different from any play I have seen. It was funny, well-acted, and my style of storytelling, but I never imagined seeing anything like this outside of a movie. But it was great! Good job to the cast and director!

Comment from a patron via Facebook...

This guy is very creepy - and the play is a trip to the dark side - with some many humorous moments thrown in to break the darkness.

Show Summary

Amarillo Little Theatre is very pleased to present the new and darkly comic play A Behanding in Spokane as the second Adventure Space production of the 2013-14 Season.

In Martin McDonagh's first American-set play, Carmichael has been searching for his missing left hand for a quarter of a century.  Enter two bickering lovebirds with a hand to sell, and a hotel clerk with an aversion to gunfire, and we are set for a hilarious roller coaster of love, hate, desperation, and hope.  Audiences won't believe the twists and turns this dark tale will make in less than 90 minutes.  Be warned though, this very funny play contains strong language a dark subject matter!

ALT has cast a very exciting group of excellent performers for this production.  They include Don Washburn, Brandon Graves, Noel Yuri-Bermudez and Natasha Lowrey.

Artistic director is Allen Shankles with Kim Shreffler serving as Assistant to the Director.

ALT audiences are encouraged to attend the Hastings' Ovation Series talk-back session immediately following the performance on Sunday, October 27.  It is a wonderful opportunity to take a behind the scenes look at the production and visit with the cast and crew.
