LITTLE WOMEN

story by Louisa May Alcott

What our patrons are saying about "Little Women"...

Little Women was wonderful! The casting and acting were spot on. Great job by all! Emma Lewis' portrayal of Aunt March was my favorite. The March sisters were performed just as I pictured them in the book. I now want to read the book again as it has been awhile since I did so. What a fine afternoon of theatre!

The Amarillo Little Theatre Academy and AAA Electric are very excited to present the American classic Little Women as its next production.

Louisa May Alcott's story is set in 1863 in New England and features four spirited teenaged sisters, Jo, Amy, Beth and Meg. With their chaplain father away serving in the Civil War and their mother doing all she can to hold things together at home, the girls employ creativity and courage to help their mother while pursuing their ownpassions - Jo's writing, Amy's art, Beth's service to the poor, and Meg's pursuit to become a proper young lady. Next door neighbor Theodore "Laurie" Laurence, a lonely but charming teen, can't resist the energy and grace of these little women and helps them to endure one trial after another.

The Amarillo Little Theatre Academy has assembled a terrific cast to bring this beloved American classic to life. Little Women features 29 of our talented Academy students as well as Jenny Morgan, an ALT Academy Alumna who will be portraying the narrator role of Josephine. Little Women is directed by Academy Director Jason Crespin. Carla Fristoe serves as Assistant Director and Macey Gibaszek and Tevae Shoels serve as Production Assistants.

Ticket prices are $12.00 for 12 and up and $10.00 for under 12. Tickets go on sale to ALT members on December 19th and to thegeneral public on December 26th.
