ALT is a dedicated to making its work
accessible to the entire Texas Panhandle and surrounding
area. As such, ALT has instituted a number of outreach
projects designed to better serve the area. ALT’s
touring productions are now recognized throughout
the southwest United States and have successfully
performed in large cities as well as small, rural
communities for over a decade.
ALT’s Academy program, in collaboration
with Amarillo Independent School District, provides
special school-time performers of its work making
it possible for over 5,000 area students to attend
a theater performance each year. The Academy also
has a scholarship program which assists under-privileged
students with tuition costs for the Academy.
ALT proudly produces a diversity of
programs, which offer numerous opportunities for persons
of all ethnic groups and social backgrounds to become
involved with the theatre.
