What our patrons are saying about "Thoroughly Modern Millie"...

Thoroughly Modern Millie is an absolute treat! While you can never go wrong with a show starring the talented Annika Spalding, it was wonderful to see her paired with her husband, Brett. The way their voices meld is magical! The rest of the cast is vocally stunning...all around a great evening of theatre!

Saw Thoroughly Modern Millie last night. Absolutely made our night! Where does one start? The sets were wonderful. The coreography was amazing. And you don't have to travel to Broadway to hear such splendid vocals and orchestra. Thank you ALT cast and crew for putting your heart and soul into this effort and offering this community some of the best events one can ever experience!

Rose Ann Smith ~ Amarillo

Crazy antics ensue when a small town girl searches for a new life in the bright lights of 1920's New York City.

The winner of six TONY Awards including Best Musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie was the 2002 season's most awarded new show on Broadway! Based on the 1967 Academy Award-winning film, Thoroughly Modern Millie takes you back to the height of the Jazz Age in New York City, when "moderns" — including a flapper named Millie Dillmount — were bobbing their hair, raising their hemlines, entering the workforce, and rewriting the rules of love.

ALT has cast a fabulously multi-talented ensemble. The cast includes Annika Spalding as the plucky Millie Dillmount, Carrie Huckabay as the conniving Mrs. Meers, Micheal Froschheiser as the dreamy marriageable boss Trevor Graydon, Bethany Fields as the doe-eyed Miss Dorothy Brown, and Brett Spalding as the effervescent Jimmy Smith. The remainder of the cast includes Jason Crespin, Rose Duncan, Sarah Dunn, Cassi Gardner, Drew Grimes, Christeen Hodson, Marley Hoggatt, Dennis Humphrey, Deanna Hurt, Caitlin Izard, Jeff Jarnagin, Sean Jones, Abby Letts, Justin Loe, Shannon Mashburn, Christopher Ratliff, Rebecca Smithee, Harrison Stringer, and Ryan Sustaita. Artistic Director is Allen Shankles. Music Direction is by Jim Gardner and choreography is by Shawn Walsh. Kim Shreffler is Assistant to the Directors.

Thoroughly Modern Millie is filled with frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villainess audiences will love to hate, not to mention truly explosive tap numbers!
