ALT’s riveting 98th season continues with this suspense-filled drama, and trust us—you’ve never experienced a psychological thriller like this.
Bestselling novelist Paul Sheldon is rescued from a terrible car accident by his “number one fan,” Annie Wilkes. But Paul quickly realizes that Annie’s idea of “helping” may be more terrifying than the crash itself. An intense mental showdown ensues that explores the dangerous link between hero worship, dehumanization, isolation and physical and mental illness in this gritty take on the well-known Stephen King novel.
ALT assembled a dynamic cast for this chilling production: Patrick Burns as Paul, Kayla Fuller as Annie, and Bobby McCauley as Buster. The show was directed by Jo Smith, with Carla Fristoe serving as Assistant to the Director.
