We believe that ALT truly is the place to be. As such, we want to include as many members of our community and the surrounding areas as possible. Ticket prices for ALT productions range anywhere from $18 to $30 depending on the show. These prices, while competitive and cost effective, can still be too high for some potential patrons. As a community theatre, we believe that members of our community should not be excluded from being exposed to live theatre simply due to cost. To further our goal of reaching as many potential theatergoers as possible, we initiated a partnership during our 96th Season with the Amarillo Public Library and Canyon Area Library. Through these partnerships, Library cardholders have received the opportunity to “check out” tickets to see ALT productions! At the beginning of our 97th Season, ALT received a generous Pantex Community Investment Grant that fully funds this great initiative! We are so grateful for the great people at Pantex for seeing the value in this program and throwing their support behind it. We have now added Carson County Public Library to our program. For every show (including Academy productions performed entirely by our students), we reserve a specific number of tickets during 2 designated performances for Library patrons. Library cardholders can then check out tickets to our shows just as they would a book. We have had great success with this program, and are thrilled to reach community members we may not have connected with otherwise. This opportunity has benefitted many people in our area, especially large families, and we are honored to host new friends!
*These are the ticket policies for checkout:
- Ticket vouchers must be redeemed at the ALT Box Office; there is nothing to return to the library.
- To ensure the greatest number of people benefit from the program, eligible cardholders can check out tickets every other month with a maximum of two tickets per household per month.
- Please let us know if you expect to purchase additional tickets so ALT can plan for you and your party to sit together.
- Library-issued tickets may be redeemed at the ALT Box Office before the day of the show.
- Tickets not picked up by 15 minutes before showtime will be released for resale.
- Patrons who check out library tickets but do not attend the show MAY NOT check out tickets again during the current season. To avoid this consequence, contact Amarillo Little Theatre as soon as you are aware that you won’t be able to attend the show.
