How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets may be purchased in person at the ALT Box Office located at our Allen Shankles Mainstage facility, online at this ticketing link or by phone at 806-355-9991. We accept Cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Tell me more about season tickets?
If you love live theatre, we want to invite you to become an ALT Season Ticket Subscriber! There are so many benefits to being a season ticket holder, including: advance reservation privileges (so you can snag the very best seats!), ticket discounts saving you almost 40% over regular box office prices, easy (and free) ticket exchanges, as well as discounts to special events and even Academy classes. Don’t wait in the wings…step into the spotlight and save BIG!
What if I am unable to use my tickets?
“Now life has killed the dream [we] dreamed.” Just kidding! That’s okay! ALT does not make refunds for purchased tickets, however we do offer exchanges for another performance for a $3.00 per ticket exchange fee. If you cannot make an exchange work, we can offer you a tax deduction for your donation to ALT.
What time should I arrive for a performance?
Our Allen Shankles Mainstage facility opens one hour before curtain time, however we do not allow seating until thirty minutes before curtain. Our Adventure Space facility opens thirty minutes before curtain. We suggest that you arrive about fifteen to twenty minutes before curtain time, to give you and your family plenty of time to peruse our bios – bragging about ourselves and our accomplishments.
What if I am late to a performance?
STRAIGHT TO JAIL! Well, theatre jail. Which basically means that if you arrive after a performance has begun, we may not be able to seat you at all until a suitable break in the performance (horrific). It is also possible that you will have to be seated in an alternate location until intermission. *melodramatic gasp* Seating after a performance has started is completely subject to the discretion of management. And when we say management, picture…TRUNCHBULL.
What should I wear to an ALT show?
Honestly, the sparklier, the better. This IS the theatre, after all, and we do LOVE a sequin. In all seriousness, we want our patrons to have fun and be comfortable. You will see every style of dress from cocktail attire to very casual. Most patrons wear business casual. It all depends on you and your personal style!
May I bring my children to a show?
Except for Academy productions, children under age four are not permitted at ALT productions. Some ALT productions are not suitable for children of any age. We encourage you to contact our offices to determine if a particular production is appropriate for your child.
How can I get involved at ALT?
According to the legendary Stephen Sondheim, “Opportunity is not a lengthy visitor.” But at ALT, opportunity is a permanent tenant! With ten shows per season, there are a plethora of chances for you to get involved and make new friends. Every performer and most crew members at ALT are volunteers from our community. And we love expanding our theatre family! If you wish to be on our audition list, please contact our offices. “It’s time to trust [your] instincts, close [your] eyes, and leap!” If you’re more inclined to help backstage, we get it: you want to “Masquerade, hide your face so the world will never find you”. To inquire about working backstage or on a construction, costume, or painting crew, we’d love you forever and you can contact our volunteer coordinator, Lissa Garren, at (806) 355-9991 or you can email Lissa.
How do I get more information about Academy classes?
First off, we’re so excited that you’re interested! “You’ve gotta go after the things you want while you’re still in your prime.” Second, our website has all of our class schedules and descriptions. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to call our offices at 806-355-9991. ACADEMY HOME PAGE
