Life is full of infinite choices. This is a musical about all of them.

On the verge of turning 40, Elizabeth moves to New York City, the ultimate city of possibility, intent on a fresh start – new home, new friends and hopes for a resurgent career. But even in her carefully planned new life, the smallest decision or most random occurrence will impact her world in ways she never dreamt possible. Set against the ever shifting landscape of modern day Manhattan, If/Then is a romantic and original new musical about how choice and chance collide and how we learn to love the fallout.

ALT assembled an amazing cast to bring this contemporary musical to life. With a mixture of talented ALT veterans and fantastic newcomers, the cast included Annika Spalding as Elizabeth, Kissey Cummings as Kate, Joshua Gibson-Roark as Lucas, Brett Spalding as Josh, Chris Gandy as Stephen, Marley Hoggatt as Anne, Jonathan Mobley as David and Shelby McCown as Elena. The people of New York City ensemble included Lissa Garren, Kallie Huckabay, Gracie Hurt, Marta Matthews, Jacob Miller, Duffy Tidwell and Dillon Kizarr. This critically acclaimed musical was directed by Jo Smith with Jennifer Akins serving as Music Director and Nikki Harada as Choreographer. Carla Fristoe was the Assistant to the Directors.

With unforgettable songs and a deeply moving story by the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning creators of Next to Normal, If/Then was a fascinating, ambitious and original new musical perfect for our Adventure Space audiences. Making its regional premiere, this show painted a deeply moving portrait of the lives that we lead, as well as the lives that we might have led.

Due to extenuating circumstances, this beautiful production was limited to only 5 sold out performances.
