Amarillo Little Theatre is very pleased to present the regional premiere of the exciting new musical Sister Act as its final production of the 2017- 18 season! Based on the very successful film and featuring great new songs and music written especially for the Broadway production, this show is going to be a “get on your feet and testify” good time! Sister Act tells the hilarious story of Deloris Van Cartier, a disco diva, whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Under protective custody she’s hidden in the one place she won’t be found—a convent! Disguised as a nun and under the suspicious watch of the Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own. A sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, sisterhood and music. Featuring original music by Tony and eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Disney’s “Aladdin” and “Beauty and The Beast,” “Newsies,” Enchanted)”, dazzling dance routines and songs inspired by Motown, Soul, and Disco, Sister Act is the funniest and funkiest musical around.

ALT has assembled a terrific cast of performers for this production. The show features ZZ Wright as the incomparable Deloris Cartier. The cast also includes Anna Bahn, Alexandra Bennett, Ronnie Brockett, Christy Corder, Connie Cannady, Reilly Downes, Rebecca Hartman, Deanna Hurt, Gracie Hurt, Kelsey Kilburn, Kallie Kilburn, Angie Killion, Emma Lewis, Zeke Lewis, Justin Loe, Abigail Martin, Shannon Mashburn, Erin Murphy, Michael Newman, ShyAnne Peterson, Bob Roulston, Kim Shreffler, Ryan Sustaita, Jeri Tidmore, Travis Tidmore, Charlie Turner, Connor Unwin, SaVante’ Wallace, Ethan Worsham and Laura Jo Worsham. Allen Shankles is Artistic Director with Jennifer Akins as Music Director and Shawn Walsh as Choreographer. Reymundo Montoya is Assistant to the Director and Stage Manager. Spectacular scenery is being designed by David Walsh.
