The Amarillo Little Theatre was thrilled to present the side-splitting comedy The Cottage as the third Mainstage production of the season. Inspired by the works of Noël Coward and from the playwright that took Clue from screen to stage, The Cottage is an outrageously roaring 20’s romp that will have you laughing from start to finish.
Set in 1923 in an English country cottage, Sylvia Van Kipness decides to expose her affair to both her husband and to her lover’s wife. As secrets unravel and passions collide, the meaning of love, identity and marriage are all thrown into question, and served in a way only the British can serve it: with tea. With shocking plot twists, scandalous reveals and razor-sharp humor, The Cottage is a deliciously funny hit comedy where no one’s secrets are safe.
ALT had assembled an insanely talented cast of veteran ALT actors for this production. Performers included Carrie Huckabay as Sylvia, Zach Oehm as Beau, Jenny Morgan as Marjorie, Jason Crespin as Clarke, Jeni Stennis as Dierdre and Caleb Cordes as Richard. Artistic Director for this production was Cy Scroggins with Shannon Mashburn serving as Assistant Director and Shelby McCown as Production Assistant.
