Winner of the 2015 Tony Award for BEST PLAY!

The Amarillo Little Theatre proudly presented The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time as its first Mainstage show of the 2020-21 Season.

This amazing show with its odd title is one of the finest plays we have ever produced at ALT!

15 year old Christopher has an extraordinary brain: He is exceptional at mathematics but ill-equipped to interpret every day life;  He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched, and he distrusts strangers. Now, it is 7 minutes after midnight and Christopher stands beside his neighbor’s dead dog, Wellington, who has been speared by a garden fork. Finding himself under suspicion, Christopher is determined to solve the mystery of who murdered Wellington, and he carefully records each fact of the crime. But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a thrilling journey that upturns his world.

This award winning play earned rave reviews and it is currently the most produced show in the country! We gave it a PG – 12 rating only because there are some emotionally intense scenes in the show.

The Curious Incident…. also featured a very unique stage set and some miraculous lighting and special effects that have not ever been experienced by an ALT audience.

ALT has selected an outstanding collection of performers for this play. It featured high school senior Tre Butcher In the leading role! Also included were ALT veteran actors Shannon Mashburn, Zeke Lewis and amazing newcomer Emmy Estes. The ensemble included the abundant talent of Michael Newman, Erin Murphy, Brandon Graves, Don Shipman, Macy Dawson and Jennifer Wilkerson.  Allen Shankles is the Artistic Director with Ashley Devoid as Assistant to the Director.

FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED THE ENTIRE TIME YOU ARE INSIDE ANY ALT FACILITY. NO EXCEPTIONS.
