We assembled a phenomenal cast including Brandon Graves, Jay Hayes, Marley Hoggatt, Jennifer McClellan, Jeffrey Pickens, Don Shipman and Kim Shreffler. This thought provoking play was directed by Kara Leimer and assisted by Laura Jo Worsham.

Jane Anderson’s free-flowing, stylized play takes the audience on a journey through history to explore people’s dreams and goals in life. Be it with a paintbrush or a spaceship, humans throughout history have been attempting to defy the limits of gravity and reach for the stars.

Friends in Amarillo, I encourage you to go see the Amarillo Little Theatre production of “Defying Gravity”. This is such a beautiful play, delicately directed by Kara Leimer and starring Marley Hoggatt and Jennifer McClellan, both giving such amazing, sensitive performances.

I also love the beautiful set…and the choreographed entrances and exits from the crew.

Defying Gravity was truly beautiful! EVERY aspect of the show was spot on and the interpretation and direction of the show was breathtaking. Great work! The ensemble was so committed to the truth of their characters it made every scene work. Lighting and video were really great additions to the show, sound design was outstanding.
